My Role at the Carers Centre
Carer (Communications) Support Worker
How did you get involved?
I began volunteering at The Carers Centre in 2013, sorting paper work, and constructing a spreadsheet.
I became a paid part time employee in 2017, in an Administration Assistant role, supporting staff with data entry, updating spreadsheets, creating flyers, taking calls, preparation and issue of our Sessions Timetable each month, responding to e-mails, and general correspondence and office administration.
My role changed in 2020, as Carer (Communications) Support Worker, which involves the collation of the Sessions Timetable every month, updating our contacts database, and supporting staff with administration.
It’s a privilege to work for The Carers Centre, with a great team of people, to support Family Carers, who I’ve learnt so much from.
