What’s Your Role at The Carers Centre?
My role at The Carers Centre is Volunteer Coordinator & Outreach Coordinator. I also run Crafty Carers, Time For Me and some Information Sessions.
How did you get involved with The Carers Centre?
I got involved with The Carers Centre when I was a young teenager, as my parents were using the centre. I then got back into touch when I was in my twenties doing my Masters in Health Psychology, and was looking at getting participants for my dissertation. Straight after that I came back as a volunteer for a year, and was then lucky enough to get a job!
I coordinate our amazing volunteers, who support throughout all our services. I also run Crafty Carers on a weekly basis, which includes every art and craft you can think of. I also run the Time For Me sessions, which includes Carers Cuppas and Games sessions.
