The Importance of Carers Getting a Break


It is important for your own wellbeing to be able to have breaks away from the caring role.

Making time for yourself, however, to catch up with friends, family or simply rest is often difficult but it can improve how you feel. Carers often neglect their own needs. 

 

Having a break away from caring leaves many  carers feeling that they have renewed energy and can face whatever comes across their path.


There are many different ways to take a break and many carers will need to make  alternative arrangements for the person they care for.
