Below is what some of our carers said about the sessions

This group is showing me perspective. If you don't sort yourself out, find strategies ... if you don't, you aren't going to be able to carry on caring, you're going to be on the floor.

I'm thinking that talking at a group like this, with carers like me who understand, helps us to alleviate our own stress.

This meeting couldn't have come at a better time, as I have been struggling with my GP for 3 weeks now.

I want to talk to people who understand, to give something back. I need to bounce off other people who understand. I recognise I need help now.

I have been waiting to come to this session, on Emergency Planning, as I keep putting off planning for when I'm not around anymore. He's only got me now, what happens to him if I'm not here?

Groups like this can be supporting each other, there are things you can say in this group that you can’t say to your family.

I think if you talk about it, you relax your mind, then you feel a bit better.
